GAYLORD - Motorcycle safety classes are planned this spring and summer in northern Michigan.
The Basic Rider Course is offered Friday night and all day Saturday and Sunday. It is designed for the beginner who wants to learn to ride safely and needs a cycle endorsement on their drivers license.
Motorcycles are provided.
Class dates (beginning at 5 p.m. on Friday) are:
€ In Cheboygan - May 12-14; June 9-11; July 21-23; and Aug. 11-13
€ In Gaylord - June 9-11; June 23-25; July 7-9; and Aug. 4-6.
Additionally, “Performance Based” one-day classes on a Saturday or Sunday are designed for the experienced rider who uses their own insured bike in the class and wants to ride safely and needs a cycle endorsement on their drivers license. The offerings, which begin at 8 a.m. either day, are:
€ In Cheboygan - June 3 or June 4
€ In Gaylord - July 15 or July 16.
An Experience Rider Course will be offered only in Cheboygan on May 6 or May 7. It is designed for the experienced rider using own insured bike in class and has a cycle endorsement and wants to improve and practice riding skills or update insurance requirements.
