VANDERBILT — On Saturday, at 1 p.m., 11 students who are part of the Class of 2007 will walk at the Vanderbilt High School gymnasium to receive their diplomas.

This year’s Vanderbilt High School valedictorian is:

NAME: Angela Lynn Foley

PARENTS’ NAMES: Michael and Cindy Foley

GRADEPOINT AVG.: 3.85

SCHOOL ACTIVITIES: Class of 2007 vice president; National Honor Society, president; Close-Up member; captain of the varsity basketball, softball and volleyball teams

HONORS, RECOGNITION: National Honor Society outstanding member;  American Association of University Women honoree; Daughters of the American Revolution honoree; Ferris State University Dean’s scholarship; Michigan Merit Award

COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT: More than 150 hours of community service including working with the elderly and babysitting

FUTURE PLANS: Plans to attend Ferris State University as honors student studying pre-pharmacy.

NAME: Cory Runge

SCHOOL ACTIVITIES: Member of basketball and baseball teams; Student Council; NHS, serving as NHS treasurer and class treasurer

HONORS, RECOGNITION: Outstanding NHS member; Kiwanis Club Outstanding Senior Award recipient; Alma College Dean’s Scholarship; Michigan Merit Award recipient

COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT: More than 100 hours of community service

FUTURE PLANS: Plans to attend Alma College in the fall
