GAYLORD — Back for its second year, the Big Ticket Festival is the largest music event to hit Northern Michigan this summer.

More than 30 Christian artists are scheduled to perform during the two-day event in Gaylord June 22-23.

The festival will be held at the Otsego County Fairgrounds, accessible from Fairview Road off Old 27 North. Gates open Friday, June 22 at 11 a.m.

With three stages, performances will begin at 11:30 a.m. and continue through 11 p.m. On Saturday, the gates will open at 9 a.m. The event continues all day until 11 p.m.

“Northern Michigan is fortunate to have an event of this magnitude,” according to Glen Catt, director of Free Spirit Ministries. “The talent pool we are assembling for this weekend-long concert (includes) some of the biggest names in Christian music to the area.”

There also will be BMX racing, freestyle motocross, skateboarders, strength team and an extreme inflatable game area at the festival this year.

Tickets purchased the day of the event cost $75 for a general two-day pass; $42 for a one-day general pass (Friday or Saturday). Junior passes are discounted for youth ages 5-11. Kids 5 and younger are free. The Big Ticket Event is sponsored by Free Spirit Ministries.
