Owen Allen Pierce

Owen Allen Pierce, age 89, of Paradise, passed away on Saturday, March 15, 2008 at his residence. He was born on Sept. 27, 1918 to Henry and Della (Rush) Pierce in Evening Shade, Ariz. He married the former Shelley Haynes in Marshall, Texas in 1982. As a young man, he joined the CCC Camps in Arkansas. He served his country during WWII in the Army as a tech sergeant in the 78th AAA Gun Battalion. He was stationed in Attu and participated in the Battle of Attu. Owen lived in Rochester for many years; he owned and operated GP Plastics in Rochester Hills from 1965 to 1997. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed gambling in his spare time. Above all else came his family, he always treated them like royalty.
