To the Editor: People should be outraged over gas
Tuesday, September 16, 2008 4:07 PM EDT

To the Editor:

The people of Gaylord and our elected officials should be outraged over the price of gas in this town. Would anybody in Gaylord try to explain the price of gas over the July 4 holiday at $4.34 compared to $4.13 in Grayling and check this our “Frederic” which has one station and it was $4.10. I’m sure it must be the volume that they sell to have it $.24 a gallon less than our tourist town.

Maybe our officials should just start asking some questions also. How can we encourage tourism with this going on? Get mad Gaylord, it’s your money too.

" It is time our elected officials get off their dead hind ends and to the job we expect from them. I look forward to the day when our local suppliers, who have been goughing us for years, are charged with price fixing and monopoly. We will all party that day! "
