Harietta Trosin, age 84, of Wolverine, passed away Sunday, Oct. 5, 2008 at the Otsego Memorial Hospital in Gaylord.

Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2008 at Lintz Funeral Home in Indian River.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 9, 2008 at the Wolverine Baptist Church. Pastor Orville Theaker will officiate. Interment will be at Silver Lake Cemetery in Wolverine.

Harietta was born on July 26, 1924 in Wolverine. She was the daughter of Harry A. and Henrietta M. (Smith) Hartson. Harietta graduated from Wolverine High School in 1942.

On Sept. 15, 1942 she married Clifford K. Parker in Flint where the couple made their home. Harietta later moved to River Rouge.

On Dec. 10, 1949 she married Earl D. Trosin in Belleville. The couple made their home in Romulus. In 1981 the couple moved to Wolverine. Mr. Trosin preceded her in death in September 1998. She continued to make her home in Wolverine until 2000 when she moved to Gaylord.

She enjoyed fishing, dining and board games. Harietta was a member of the Wolverine Baptist Church.

She is survived by her children, Ronald (Ellen) Parker of Mancelona, Earl (Georga) Trosin of Alanson and Sandi Trosin of Wolverine; six grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; siblings, Zella Daniels of Flint, Mildred Voorheis of Flint, Marion Merrills of Bradington, Fla., Dorothy Sherwood of Alanson, Harry (Jean) Hartson of Indiana and Roger (Dora) Hartson of Petoskey; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Wolverine Baptist Church. Lintz Funeral Home in Indian River assisted the family with arrangements.
