Lewiston Faces: Geboski loves active lifestyle

Gerry Geboski, 72
Family: Gerry and her husband, Ted, had four children: Greg Geboski of Hawaii; Douglas Geboski of Rochester Hills; David Geboski of Howell; and the late Leslie Bluebond. She also has seven grandchildren; Chloe, Nico, Nadia, Jacob, Eve, Claire, and Xavier.
Occupation: Gerry taught secondary level English and history at St. Clair Shores’ South Lake High School and Melvindale High School. She then raised her children before substitute teaching at Livonia High Schools for 18 years. During this time, Gerry and Ted ran their resort in Lewiston, Ted and Gerry’s Resort on Little Wolf Lake, which is now Little Wolf Lake Resort.
When did you move to Lewiston? “We bought the resort in 1969 and moved up permanently when Ted retired from Ford Motor Company in 1987.”
What do you like about Lewiston? “The people. They are very friendly, very giving, and the people we hang around with are very active.”
What do you do for fun? “Golfing, sewing, reading, and volunteering through the Lewiston Lions Club. We travel to Florida mid-November and enjoy golfing and the weather and work at a soup kitchen.”
Are you involved in any clubs or organizations? Lewiston Lions Club member, Bethlehem Lutheran member, active in the church quilting group, and working with Habitat for Humanity.
Who do you credit for making you who you are today? My father and a strong church background.
