James E. Dudley, age 76, of Orland, Ind. and formerly of Marshall and Waters, died Monday, Dec. 29, 2008 in LaGrange, Ind.

James was born Jan. 16, 1932, the son of Clifford Webb and Myrtle Irene (Williams) Dudley. He was a retired employee of the Post Cereal Company in Battle Creek and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving in the Korean War.

He is survived by one brother, Joe (Dianne) Dudley of Orland, Ind.; one sister, Fran Bonnell of Mesa, Ariz.; three nieces; and four nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Mary Elizabeth Young.

A graveside chapel service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2009 at Floral Lawn Memorial Garden Cemetery, 1490 E. Michigan Ave., Battle Creek. Military committal services will be conducted at the conclusion of the service.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
