Engagement: Stiles-Jacobs

James Jacobs & Melissa Stiles
BIRCH RUN -- William and Terry Stiles of Gaylord have announced the engagement of their daughter, Melissa Lynn Stiles of Gaylord, to James Edward Jacobs of Birch Run, the son of Edward and Kate Jacobs of Birch Run.
The bride-elect is a 2002 graduate of Gaylord High School and a 2007 graduate of Central Michigan University with a bachelor’s degree in secondary education. She is employed as a math teacher by New Lothrop Schools in New Lothrop, Mich.
Her fiancé is a 1999 graduate of Birch Run High School in Birch Run and a 2001 graduate of Michigan State University with an associates degree in agri-business management. He is employed as a custom applicator by Crop Production Services in Henderson, Mich.
The couple are planning a July 18 wedding in Birch Run and will reside in Burt.
