GAYLORD -- Danielle Fox of Gaylord is going to Walt Disney World in Florida thanks to a local business’ contest that granted her $1,200 worth of travel as a result of an annual drawing.
“I just got married Oct. 1,” said Fox, who is using her prize for a honeymoon.
For the past six years, LaSeñorita Restaurant in Gaylord has joined the annual Paco’s Fiesta promotion with the other five LaSeñorita restaurants in Michigan. This is the first year, however, the winner was drawn from names submitted from the Gaylord store.
“I was surprised when (corporate) called me,” said Tim Granahan, Gaylord LaSeñorita owner. “This is the first time someone from this store won.”
Fox and her husband, Chuck Fox Jr. are taking their four children, Nathan, Whitney, Thomas and Brittney, on the trip in February.
The Paco’s Fiesta promotion is a scratch-off card game good for free and discounted food items. Guests who use their cards are entered into a grand prize drawing for the trip.
LaSeñorita has locations in Gaylord, Petoskey, two in Traverse City, Mount Pleasant and Lansing.
